Insurance Policies for Florida's Offers of Judgments - Presented by FindFloridaLawyer.com

The professional ethics committee of the Florida Bar has determined that it is not unethical for an Attorney to advance costs for insurance premiums to protect clients in Litigation.

In many litigation cases, Defendants (mostly insurance companies or large corporations) will present an Offer of Judgment to Plaintiffs seeking monetary compensation. This process generally provides a chilling effect on many collectible Plaintiffs. In the event the Plaintiff does not meet the statutory threshold, the Plaintiff needs to pay for the Defendant's legal fees and costs from the date the offer of judgment expires.

By providing insurance to pay for legal fees and costs that may be assessed if the Plaintiff loses, gives an incredible opportunity for Plaintiff's Attorneys to pursue claims that would have otherwise been settled.
